Soon after Elise and her paranormal team members are banished out of the Lambert home, Josh enters his son Dalton's room to make a decision. There on the wall, Dalton wrote the following quote in crayon:

The astral planes contain 7 subplanes that each represent a domain. In the Insidious movie, The Astral Hell is a subplane with astral beings, past spirits, and parasites. In The Further, a demon entity traps a vulnerable Dalton that is trapped in chains. The demon plans to possess Dalton.
Dalton visits his physical body in astral form. He wrote "Last Night I Watched Myself, then I flew away" on the picture to communicate he misses them. Dalton doesn't know how to return to his physical body. His astral body is held prisoner in The Further.
The Insidious movie quote is to convey that Dalton is an astral traveler. He is a gifted astral traveler who can enter subplanes of the astral plane. Insidious quotes reveal sub-genres such as astral projection. It is not all too common to see astral projection in movies.
